Gary Edward Stevens

Gary Edwards Stevens, age 64, of Vass, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home, with his family by his side.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Gary was born in Queens, New York on May 13, 1957 to the late Robert Stevens and Jane Stevens. He was an avid Mets and Giants fan. Gary loved New York style pizza and spending time with his family, especially with his furry friends, Cory and Star. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Stevens; children, Lori Decker and husband Bill of Pennsylvania, Karen Stevens of Pennsylvania, Kristine Sette of Carthage, Lauren Walsh of Florida, John Sette of New York and Jill Stevens of Florida; sister, Teresa Stevens of New York; brothers, Robert Stevens and wife Francine of Ohio, Ronald Stevens and Wife Lynn of New York and Thomas Stevens of New York; grandchildren, Colin, Matthew, Megan, Dylan and Mason.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Gary Stevens to UNC Hospital Cancer Center, 101 Manning Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
