Gay Felix

Gay Boa Felix, age 77, of Olivia, North Carolina, left this earth on February 2, 2021 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina to be with her Lord and Savior.

Gay was born in Amarillo, Texas to the late Kenneth and Ruthelaine Boa on August 30, 1943. A loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, she was a fixture of Sanford's Western Steer/Trailblazers for over 25 years. After her retirement, even through pain and struggles, she always put her family first. She was a bright, boisterous personality that lit up every room she was in, even in her final days. To say that she will be greatly and sorely missed does not scratch the surface.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Felix; children, Evelynn Yvonne Perlman, Edward John Bernard, III, Sunny Lee Collins and John Nicholas Felix; sister, Kelley Weber; brother, Dr Kenneth Boa; grandchildren, Brenna Martin, Indiana Bernard and Alexis Bernard.

The family will hold a private "Celebration of Life" on her birthday, August 30, 2021.

As a lover of all animals and in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests any donations be made in her name to the ASPCA or your local humane society.
