Gloria Jean (Jones) Thompson

Gloria Jean Jones Thompson, age 65, of Sanford, North Carolina, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was born on June 7, 1958 to the late Willie Frank and Elizabeth Stone Jones.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Willie Frank Jones, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Harold Thompson, Sr.; daughters, Tabitha Gautier (Jason) of Sanford, Tiffany Buchanan (Brandon) of Sanford; son, Michael Thompson, Jr. (Lesley); step-daughter, Jeanne Riddle (Mark) of Bear Creek; grandchildren, Bailey Gautier, Zachary Gautier, John Gautier, Aaron Gautier, McKenzie Gautier, Jayden Thompson, Zachary Rowan, Connor Gwyn, McKenzie Gwyn, Aubree Deskins, Ashlynn Deskins, Kaiden Buchanan and Denton Deskins; great-grandchildren, Everligh Gautier, Ryleigh Gautier, Hunter Gautier and Huntley Gautier; brothers, Ronnie Jones (Janice) and Steven Jones; sisters, Donna Brown (Richard) and Cheryl Bird; foster brother, Mike Roberts; foster sister, Teresa Green; two nieces, Valerie Galtieri and Rebecca Johnson and one nephew, David Jones who were very near and dear to her heart along with many other nieces and nephews.

Gloria’s family meant the world to her, and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
