Hazel Jane (Johnson) Nall

Hazel Johnson Nall, age 85, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family after a long hard health battle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carthage with Pastor Mike Garner and Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1 until 2.

Hazel was born in Moore County on January 22, 1938, to the late Samuel Turner Johnson and Bertie Williams Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Nall, son, Ronald J. Nall, grandson, Daniel Shane Nall, sister, Frances Williams brother, Frank Johnson.

Hazel loved her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Her joy was going to church and worshipping with her church family.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn King and husband Jimmy of Carthage, Wanda Wilson of Carthage, Melondy Workman and husband Allen also of Carthage; grandchildren, Derek King, Amanda Meserve, Dustin Baker, Amber Smith, Dalton Wilson; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in memory of Hazel Nall.
