James Floyd Frye

James Floyd Frye, age 87, of Carthage passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Pinehurst Health & Rehabilitation in Pinehurst.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vass with Glenn Short and Lewis Ring officiating.  A time of visitation will follow immediately after the service.

Floyd was born in Moore County on November 8, 1936 to the late Curtis and Esther Wilkes Frye.  He was also preceded in death by his stepson, Gregory Mazur.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sarah Hannah Frye, son, John Lee Frye, sisters, Betsy Frye Short and Clara Mae Frye Phibbs, brother, Donald Grover Frye, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
