Janice Marie (Watts) Smith

Janice Watts Smith, age 71, of Lakeview, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, with her husband by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:00 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Janice was born in Moore County on May 5, 1951, to the late Robert Watts and Lorene Blue Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Bobby Watts.

Janice enjoyed riding horses and watching Joyce Meyers Ministries, spending her summer days in the pool with her daughters, grandkids and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Leonard Smith; daughters, Sundi Lyn Germain (Aaron) of Carthage, Ginny Marie Heersma; Linda Medlin of Lakeview, Alice Ball also of Lakeview; grandchildren, Ethan and Evan.
