Jimmy Leroy King, age 73, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home, with family by his side.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 10. 2026 at 6:.00pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Garner and Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating.
Jimmy was born in Moore County on February 9, 1953 to the late Jacob King and Avaleen Lane King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall King.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn King; son, Charles Derek King (Jennifer) of Broadway; grandchildren, Katie and Davin King; great-grandchild, Nova Putnam; sisters, Jewell Vest and Brenda Hickman both of West End; brothers, Larry King (Linda) of West End, Granville King (Janet) of Aberdeen.
He was an avid Yankee’s baseball fan and UNC basketball fan. He was quite the outdoorsman working in his yard and his vegetable garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.
