Joe Fulton Furr

Joe Fulton Furr, age 81, of Norman, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Joe was born in Moore County on October 14, 1938 to the late Joe Martin and Marvie Boyd Furr. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne Furr, sister, Magdalene Carpenter, brothers, Melvin, J. W., Ray, James and Bobby Furr.  

He spent his working career as a carpenter. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Gary Furr and wife Laura of Norman, Nancy Bossie and husband Edward of South Carolina and Betty Jo Gordy of Aberdeen; sister, Brenda Kay Lisenby of Vass; brother, Thomas Furr of Southern Pines; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
