John Junior Ring

John “Johnny” Junior Ring, age 77, of Cameron, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2025, at his home, with family by his side.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00am at Red Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Carthage with Tim Coe officiating.

Johnny was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina to the late Alva Ted Ring and Gladys Louise Marks Ring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ila Ross, brothers, Tommy and Curtis Ring.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sylvia Ring; son, Danny Ring (Lisa) of Ohio, daughter, Louise Hardy (David) of Vass; grandchildren, Daniel, Alex, Macala, Novalyn; great-grandchildren, Mason, Everly, Nora; sisters, Margie Barnes of Statesville, Mary Alice Whitaker of Carthage; brother, Buster Ring of Southern Pines.

Johnny spent his working career as a carpenter for 35 years. Some of the things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing and cooking Sunday dinner for his family. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. Johnny will be greatly missed.
