Judith Jane (Mose) Johnson

Judy Johnson,82, died February 23, 2025, under the care of hospice at the Greens at Pinehurst where she had been residing for the past nine months. Judy was born Christmas Eve, 1942, in Corning, NY.

Judy is survived by her husband, Bo, to whom she has been married for 60 years. She is also survived by three children, Jeffrey (Karen) from Whitney, Texas; Jenifer Beatty (Chad) of Middletown, Connecticut and Jyl Barlow (Rich) of Mechanicsville, Virginia. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

Judy was raised in Addison, NY and graduated from Addison High School. She graduated from Geneseo State Teachers College with a degree in elementary education and taught first grade for a number of years.

Judy married her husband Bo in 1964 after they met at a J.C. Penny store (where she sold him a pair of black socks) in Corning, NY. They lived in Towanda, PA for a total of 14 years with 4 years in San Jose, CA sandwiched in the middle. They then moved to Devon, PA for 9 years before moving to NC in 1991, first living in Chapel Hill and then moving to Aberdeen in 1998 for Bo’s retirement.

After Bo retired from the corporate world he became a travel consultant, and they began to travel and visited 56 foreign countries. Judy and Bo also traveled at home with their RV and spent 2 weeks a month at an RV Resort in Myrtle Beach, NC.

Her family wishes her Happy Camping on her new journey.
