Katie Mae (Smith) Heinold

Katie Smith Heinold, age 87, of Vass, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Raymond Campbell officiating.

Katie was born in Moore County on March 25, 1933 to the late George H. and Belle Foster Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Moore County. Her achievements in life were numerous but she will be remembered as a woman of God who loved everyone.  Katie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence “Larry” Heinold, son, Russell Heinold of Vass and grandchildren, Andrew, Megan and Alex.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Vass in memory of Katie Heinold.
