Kay McKinney Campbell, age 78, of Vass, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6 until 8.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Kivett officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery.
Kay was born in Sanford, North Carolina on August 27, 1943, to the late Jatham Hassel and Laura McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Campbell, sister, Fay Bell.
Kay was the Pastor of Lake Bay Church. She was always a source of inspiration and her achievements in life were numerous, but she will be remembered as a woman of God who loved everyone. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul Campbell; daughters, Deborah Moore and husband Eddie of Vass, Lisa Oxendine and husband Billy of Vass, Cindy Boggs of Vass; brother, James McKinney of Broadway; grandchildren, Karen, Sharon, Donna, Tina, Wayne, Tim and Miranda; great-grandchildren, Michael, Brianna, Austin, Layla, Katlyn, Adrianna, Jenna, Emma, Aaron, Hailey, Michael Wayne, Sarah, Melanie, Randy, Myah and Ava; great-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Atlas and Tessa.
