Lane Rogers Bullock

Lane Rogers Bullock, age 91, of Vass, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 6 until 8.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating and with Military Honors.

Lane was born in Kipling, North Carolina on May 28, 1932 to the late Osborne Bullock and Eula Knight Bullock.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Kent and Mark Bullock, grandchildren, Lance and Missy; sisters, Celine, Joyce and Ann, brothers, Russell, Harold and Mayward.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, during the Korean Conflict. He was known for his quick wit, and his infectious smile. Lane spent his working career in the appliance business, raising cows and mowing the grass at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he raised his family to love and serve the Lord. He will be greatly missed.

He is Survived by his wife of 71 years, Lois Hinesley Bullock; children, Sue Henderson (Kevin) of Four Oaks, Mike Bullock of Vass, John Bullock (Rhonda) of Carthage; grandchildren, Celine Raybon (Will), Jessica, Calvin, Tucker McKenzie (Lauren), Austin; great-grandchildren, Landon Thomas (Lauren), Moira, Ian, Laney, Grace, Mikey; great-great-grandson, Ellis Earl.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lane Bullock may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Local Missions.
