Larry Wayne Simpson

Larry Wayne Simpson, age 74, of Vass, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Open Arms Community Church with Pastor John Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 10 until 11.

Larry was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina on July 16, 1949 to the late Julius Simpson and Freda Gshwind Simpson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his life partner, Deborah M. McArdle, sisters, Cathy Simpson, Margaret Bailey, Leatrice Simpson, brother, Harold Simpson.

He is survived by his children, Craig Mark Simpson (Angela) of Willow Springs, NC, Laura Dawn Simpson of South Carolina, Sarah Lynn Bass of Cameron, NC; grandchildren, Carson Sessoms, Codie Kennedy, Jordyn Simpson, Nicole Allen; great-grandchildren, Kacey Allen, Tinley Allen, Cameron Kennedy; sister, Dorothy Stewart.
