Laura Ann (Briggs) Jones

Laura Ann Briggs Jones, age 55, of Vass, North Carolina passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Laura was born June 29, 1967, to Donald Ray and Annie Ruth Mills Briggs.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jim Jay Jones; children, Christopher Ryan Jones of South Carolina, Brittany Lauren Jones of Raleigh and Dylan McKae Jones of Garner; sisters, Christy Hoover (Tim) of Jackson Springs, Tammy Coe (Kevin) of Vass and Donna Wilson of Vass; brothers, Jay Briggs (Felicia) of Fuquay Varina and Brad Briggs (Kelly) of Vass; granddaughter, Rosalie Jane Jones.

Laura loved cheering on the Tarheels and Dodgers and listening to Country Music.  She also enjoyed finding a good deal and bargain hunting.  Above all, she loved caring for her loved ones, spoiling her grandbaby and cooking for her family.  She was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Marona officiating.  A time of visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM.  Burial will follow in the Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass.
