Linda (Bobbitt) Key

Linda Bobbitt Key, age 75, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 2:00pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gregg Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1 until 2.

Linda was born in Moore County on April 15, 1948, to the late Howard Bobbitt and Ruby McNeill Blake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Dennis Key and brother-in-law David J. Cummings.

She was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for many years. She was always soft-spoken and a source of inspiration and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert Key; daughter, Lisa Key McBride and husband Kenny of Cameron; grandchildren, Jonathan Robert Key, Joshua Dennis Key, Matthew Ryan Key, Richard Yorke Sweat, Daniel Wade Bowman, Jr., David Jacob Bowman and Michael Arron McBride; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Blake Cummings; daughter-in-law, Debbie Key.
