Linda Denise (Edmisten) Scowden

Linda Edmisten Scowden, age 70, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2021in Godwin, North Carolina.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6 until 8.

A Graveside will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery at 1:00 p.m with Pastor Lee McKinney officiating.

Linda was born in Moore County on June 11, 1951, to the late Robert Richard and Martha Holder Edmisten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Isaac Blaine Landis and husband, Paul Dean Scowden, sister, Sylvia Ann Davis and brother, Johnny Holder

Her achievements in life were numerous but she will be remembered as a woman of God who loved everyone, she had a generous heart and was always giving to others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her nieces, Windy Oldham, Renee Bell and husband Stephen and Amy Davis all of Carthage; brothers, Donald Ray and Edward Edmisten and a host of family and friends.
