Lloyd Ray Ring

Lloyd Ray Ring, age 67, of Vass, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in South Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 3:00pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Brown officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home from 1 until 3.  Burial will follow at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Vass.

Lloyd was born in Lee County on September 18, 1954 to the late Bundy Allen and Gladys Martha Ring. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Blue, brothers, Clarence, Jimmy and Ronnie Ring.

Lloyd had many quotes, “Life Is good”, I’m tougher than woodpecker lips”. He was a DJ of beach, oldies and country music and enjoyed entertaining good friends. He had more friends than you can number, local and at the beach. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Ring; children, Chris Ring of West End, Christian Ring Ward (Sam) of Vass, Chad Allen Ring (fiancé Megan) of Aberdeen; step-daughters, Joanne Thomas of Vass, Jamie Mills of Statesville; sisters, Doris Whitaker (Gene) of Vass, Betty Womble also of Vass; grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew, Sarah, Emma, Samantha; step-grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker, Wyatt, Zoey, Kayla and a very special furry friend, Boo Boo his baby.
