Marian Louise (Thompson) Wilson

Marian Thompson Wilson, age 72, of Lakeview, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Cox memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Shane Dees officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Marian was born in Haywood County, North Carolina on March 27, 1948 to Earl and Jenny Thompson. In additional to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Joel, Derrick and David Thompson.

She never met a stranger and was loved by all that ever had the pleasure of knowing her. She was one of the most caring, kind and giving people that I have ever known. ‘If Love Could Have Saved Her, She Would Have Lived Forever.” Marian touched so many lives and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard Wilson; children, Phillip Thompson (Kim) of Illinois, Frances Hobgood of Sanford, Richard Tracy Wilson, Jr. of California; sister, Kathy McBride of California; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
