Marie (Ferguson) Frye

Marie Ferguson Frye, age 73, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 3:00pm at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Dr. David Hudson officiating.

Marie was born in Moore County on November 12, 1948, to the late James Archie and Nellie Lewis Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Ferguson and Sarah Butler.  Marie enjoyed watching her hummingbirds and working in her flowers but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jerry Frye; daughters, Lisa Jones (Scott) of Vass, Audrey Ivey (Michael) of Lumber Bridge, Sonya Dakin (Daryl) of South Carolina, Karen Mitchell of West End; sisters, Patricia Lewis Truslow of Aberdeen, Darlene Streckfus (Jim) of Pinebluff, Teri Boeger (Russell) also of Pinebluff, Cathy Deans of Cameron; brother, James Mullinex (Mary) of Texas; step brother, Johnny Williamson; grandchildren, Tyler, Chase, Alyssa, Peyton, Malachi, Cameron, Lindsay, Madison, Grayson, Katherine and great-grandchildren, Paisleigh, Leighanna and many nieces and nephews.
