Michael Truette Blackman, age 81, of Southern Pines, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Magnolia Gardens.
Michael was born in Smithfield, North Carolina on July 26, 1942 to the late Fred Blackman and Myrth Jones Blackman.
He retired from WPTF as the radio news director. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brothers, Fred Blackman (Isabelle) of High Point, Mark Blackman (Debbie) of Southern Pines.
