Michael Caddell Cummings, Sr.

Michael Caddell Cummings, Sr., age 68, of Carthage passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at The Greens in Pinehurst surrounded by his family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 12:30pm at the Cummings Family Cemetery on Youngs Road in Vass.

Michael was born in Southern Pines on August 15, 1955 to the late Melvin Caddell and Frances Blue Cummings.   He was predeceased by his wife, Joann Wilson Cummings and son, Michael Cummings, Jr.

He is survived by stepdaughters Priscilla Painter (Scott) of Cameron and Erlene Auch of Southern Pines; sister, Catherine Cummings and friend Mike Rabon of Mullins, SC; brothers, James David Cummings of Vass and Bobby Cummings (Terri) of Carthage; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
