Odell Wall

Odell Wall, age 95, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Pinelake Health & Rehab in Carthage.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Red Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Graham officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2 until 3. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Odell was born in Harnett County on July 16, 1927, to the late Hubert Ernest Wall and Etta Edmond Wall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Elliott Wall, a granddaughter, Lori Elizabeth Mansfield, three great-grandchildren, Emily Ann Lytle, Tony Ryan Lytle and James Michael Lytle, sisters, Alma, Stella and Shirley, brothers, Spencer, Clyde, Curtis, Layton and Elmer.

Odell proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Fred Wall (Ruth) of Carthage, Phyllis Holder (Eddie) of Carthage, Hubert Wall (Teresa) of Sanford, Debbie Norton of Carthage, Larry Wall (Ginny) of Deep Gap; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Holland (Harvey) of Sanford.
