Patricia "Tricia" (Key) Medlin

Patricia “Tricia” Key Medlin, of Southern Pines, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at UNC Hospital, with her family by her side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 3:00pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Suggs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 2 until 3. Burial will follow at Pineywood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tricia was born in Moore County to Betty Lou Key and the late Billy David Key. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, David F. Key.

Tricia was a very kind and compassionate person to everyone especially to children and seniors. She took pride in decorating her home and was a dedicated hard worker. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 36 years, Sammy “Sam” Medlin, sister, Pamela Key Allen (Ron) of Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
