Paul was born in Wisconsin on September 7, 1962 to the late Thomas G. and Joana Wenzlaff Driessen.
He graduated from Kimberly Senior High School in 1981 where he participated in Football, Wrestling, Power Lifting and enjoyed playing Tuba in the band. In 1989 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Business Education through the Army ROTC program. In 1989 he began active duty stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germay where he served as a platoon leader/operations officer through Desert Storm. In 1991 he was honorably discharged but never let go of his desire to serve. He spent the remainder of his life serving Army families through various youth programs in both the Grafenwoehr and Fort Bragg installations.
Paul will always be remembered as a light that brought jokes, joy, and laughter to all around him. His faith and commitment to the Lord was obvious to all who knew him through his words and actions. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, a brother who held tight to that roll throughout his life, a proud father of three, and a loving husband who has been called home too early. He will be missed by all that he has touched.
He is survived by his wife, LoriSue Driessen; children, Anne Sophie Driessen of Germany and Matthew Driessen also of Germany, Daniel Driessen of Cameron; sisters, Julie Menting Edgerton (Jay) and Shari Driessen LaCrosse (Joey); brother, Andy Driessen (Sharon); nieces and nephews, Tyler Menting (Maureen Malone), Samantha Keberlein (Martin), Melanie, Kimberly and Ryan Driessen, Keshia Bloom (Eric), Brandon Driessen (Michelle), Tipper Driessen (fiancé, Allison Sanders), and five great-nieces and nephews, Michael, Claudia, Cora, Marcus, and Brayden.
