Richard L. Loase

Richard L. Loase, age 85, of Vass (Woodlake), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at TerraBella of Southern Pines.

Richard was born in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1937 to the late James and Mary Loase.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Loase.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Norma Weigand Loase; son, Bradley Loase (Keola Keanaaina) of Fayetteville; brothers, James Loase of Ohio and Joseph McLain of Pennsylvania.

Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Throughout his career, he was a Plant Manager for Zurn Industries and Riley Stoker.  He also owned and operated Express Employment Professionals in Fayetteville, NC for 20 years.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.  He was a member of Cameron Presbyterian Church and served on several church sessions while living in Pennsylvania as well as North Carolina and Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vass at 2:00 PM with a time of visitation following the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
