Robert "Bobby" Lee Batchelor

Robert Lee Batchelor, age 73, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Central Carolina Hospital surrounded by his family.

Robert was born in Sanford on June 18, 1949 to the late Ocie William Batchelor and Bessie Petty Batchelor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Brady.  He is survived by his children, Laurie Batchelor Hess (Jason) and Robert Christopher Batchelor; sisters, Karen Ashworth, Faye West and brother, Donnie Batchelor; grandchildren, Sarah Hess Phillips, Alex Hess and one great-grandchild, Winston Phillips.

Robert retired from Simpson & Simpson of Sanford with fifty years of service.  In addition to retirement, he loved fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchild.

Services will be private.
