Ruth (Frye) Hendrick

Ruth Frye Hendrick, age 90, of Deland, Florida, formerly of Vass, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Golden Touch Assisted Living of Orange City, Florida.

Ruth was born in Vass, North Carolina on August 28, 1931, to the late Lucian Brooks Frye and Gladys Smith Frye. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Rebecca Lois King and Rachel Frye Thomas.

Ruth was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Belinda Phillips (Denny), Robert Hendrick, Sandra Harris (Richard), Tony Hendrick (Betty) all of Florida; brothers, William Brooks Frye, Joseph Franklin Frye (Ruth) both of Vass, Samuel Morris Frye (Dana) of South Carolina; sister, Ann Frye Wallace (John) also of Vass; granddaughter, Amanda Hendrick and a great–grandson, Easton Cardwell.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:00am at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass with Pastor Trey Majure officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside at Vass United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
