Samuel Freeman Pilson

Samuel “Sammy” Freeman Pilson, age 71,of Cameron, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House, surrounded by his family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00am at Rocky Fork Christian Church Cemetery.

Sammy was born in Lee County on April 8, 1953 to the late Lee Alexander Pilson and Sybil Yopp Pilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lee A. Pilson, Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Wanda Cameron of Cameron, Carolyn Vochatzer of Missouri; brothers Chester V. Pilson of Cameron, Milton G. Pilson of Southern Pines; cousin, Mark Helms of Cameron.
