Samuel "Billy" William Ring

Samuel William “Billy” Ring, age 88, of Carthage, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at New Home Baptist Church from 2 until 3. A Graveside Service will follow in the church cemetery.

Billy was born in Moore County on October 1, 1934 to the late William Sanford Ring and Laura Peele Ring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Caddell Ring, son, Joey Lynn Ring.

Billy was a lifetime resident of Moore County where he farmed the majority of his life. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sons, Donald Ring (Lynda), Dale Ring (Vicki) both of Carthage; sister, Edith Frye of Carthage; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
