Shirley Jolene Cockman Obituary

Shirley Jolene Cockman, age 89, of Vass, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor.

Shirley was born in Kansas on May 1, 1935 to the late Ernest Wesley Shurtz and Eva Alfretta Bogby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Juli Riley.

She leaves behind her children, Jim Jones of Vass, Joni Kelly of Charlotte, Jamie Jones of Rocky Mount, Joel Cockman of Lumberton, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.
