Terri Cook

Terri Eads Cook, age 68, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice House in West End, NC surrounded by her family.

Terri was born in Sanford, North Carolina on April 14, 1955, to Frona Wilkie Eads and the late Lloyd Thomas Eads.

She was a loving and dedicated Army Spouse through her husband’s 27-year career. She frequently volunteered within the military and local community. Later in life, she worked as a substitute elementary school teacher with Chatham County’s special education programs.

She is survived by her loving mother, Frona Eads; husband of 41 years, John R. Cook; son, Adam Cook (Claire) of Indiana; grandchildren, Sean Cook, Thomas Cook, Grace Cook; sisters, Donna Hancock (Les) of South Carolina, Gaylene Bedgood (Tom) of Pittsboro, NC; nephews Chris Hancock, Matt Hancock, Ryan Bedgood and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 3:30pm at Pittsboro United Methodist Church, 71 West Street, Pittsboro, North Carolina with Pastor Lucas Nelson officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Duke Cancer Institute.
