Thomas "Tommy" William Elliott, Sr.

Thomas William Elliott, Sr., age 77, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at White Hill Presbyterian Church fellowship hall from 6 until 8 and other times at the home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 1:00pm at White Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jean Sparks and Elder Timothy Worthy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Tommy was born in Sanford, North Carolina on July 1, 1947, to the late Charlie William Elliott and Cora Carter Elliott.in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, sisters, Martha Wall, Geraldine Wood, brothers, Charlie Elliott, Jr., Alvin Elliott, Oscar Elliott.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Catherine Elliott; children, Pam Hall of Sanford, Angie Boatwright (Richard) also of Sanford, Thomas Elliott, Jr. “Bill” (Amy) of Carthage, Darrell Elliott (April) of Sanford; grandchildren, Tyler, Cody Hall, Jacob, Becca, Abigail, Joshua Elliott, Charlie, Katie Elliott; sister, Carol Ring; brother-in-laws, Norman, Tommy Brewer.

His strong work ethic made him an inspiration to his family, friends and co-workers. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
