Timothy Guy Merritt

Timothy Guy Merritt, age 59, of Aberdeen, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating.

Tim was born in Kenansville, North Carolina on March 10, 1962, to the late Willie May Merritt and Louise White Harper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Luann Diaz and brother, Tony Pope. 

Tim spent his career in maintenance, enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Carolyn McCrimmon Merritt; daughter, Angela Jackson (Marvin) of Aberdeen; sister, Brenda Mendez of Beulaville, NC, Teresa Martinez (Juan) also of Beulaville; brother, Randy Merritt (Betty) of Beulaville, NC, Johnny Merritt (Connie) of Warsaw, NC, Kenny Pope of Beulaville, NC; grandchildren, Cody, Tre (Paola), Hannah, Rachel (Austin) and Alyssa; great-grandchild, Noah.
