Velma Holt Eads, age 87, of Cameron, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Peak Resources in Carthage, surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September, 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Dr. Mark Carver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1 until 2. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Velma was born in Harnett County on August 30, 1935 to the late James Milton and Erie Tutor Holt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Esker Eads.
Velma spent her working career as a homemaker. She loved farming, working in her garden, sewing and cooking. She also had a love for children. She was a member of Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and served as a church officer and Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her son, James Milton Eads and wife Vanessa of Cameron; granddaughter, Jamie Simmons and husband, Bill; sisters, Laura Marion, Emily Johnson and Peggy Everette all of Cameron.
