William Gilbert Morris

William “Bill” Gilbert Morris, age 95, of Vass, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1929 to the late William John and Marion Burkert Morris.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Morris and Robert Morris.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Joann Dorothy Welch Morris; sons, Douglas Reid Morris (Patty) of Blue Ridge, Georgia and Dale Alan Morris of Lansing, North Carolina; daughter, Susan Morris Eury (Stan) of Pinehurst, North Carolina; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bill was a Master Mason member of the Canawacta Lodge 360 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania.

A private service will be held at a later date.
