Wynadus "Wino" John Geelen

Wynadus “Wino” John Geelen, age 81, of Southern Pines, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his home, with his wife by his side.

A family viewing will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 2:00pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst with Father John Forbes officiating. A reception will follow in the church Founder’s Hall.

Wino was born in the Netherlands on July 8, 1943, to the late Petrus Geelen and Helena Van-De-Weerdt Geelen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Annie, Marga, Agnes, Lene, brothers, Frans, Lead.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annelies Geelen; daughters, Antoinette Westberry of Germany, Annelore Couder of France, Manon Geelen of California; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
