Zebulon Vance Cox, Jr., age 87, of Shallotte, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11:00am at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Arnold Burns officiating.
Vance was born in Harnett County on June 14, 1936, to the late Zebulon Vance Cox, Sr. and Nolie Lee Thomas Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas L. Cox and Dexter R. Cox, Sr.
Vance proudly served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Cox Hamilton (Don) of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sons, Jeffrey V. Cox of Eastover, N.C., Donald C. Cox (Cindy) of Little River, S.C., David S. Cox of Shallotte, N.C.; sister, Charlene McNeill of Carthage; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
